Creative Arts Therapy & Talk Psychotherapy

While I’ve worked extensively with all different types of artists and populations across the lifespan, identifying as an artist is not a prerequisite to working with me or engaging in creative arts therapy. Together we will unlock your inner artistry and carve out the path that is right for you. From verbal psychotherapy to song and script writing, the creative arts therapies can take many shapes and I invite you to explore its forms.

Drama Therapy can provide a new language of expressing ourselves and locating our emotions when we are feeling uncertain, uncomfortable, or unsafe, in our bodies.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

Clinically, I take an Integrative and psychodynamic approach to therapy incorporating tools from verbal psychotherapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Developmental Transformations (DvT), Role Theory and Role Method, Dance-Movement Therapy, Meditation and Mindfulness.

Parts Work

By addressing each part of a client’s interpersonal and intrapersonal worlds separately and then together, work toward creating new mechanisms for change. Through meaning-making and re-writing the narrative, clients will illuminate moments in their journey where lines were left un-written, poems left unread, and trauma was left unaddressed.
